What makes Black Diamond Grocery Delivery different?

  1. We do not use hourly service fees. We believe transparent pricing serves our clients' needs better. Duh.

  2. Black Diamond Grocery Delivery is a fully transparent service. We do not mark up the price of individual items. Store receipts are provided at every delivery, every time.

  3. We carefully place your items in your kitchen or room and send confirmations with photographs attached. There are no high-fives with bellhops while leaving your groceries on the ground in an open-air box. We communicate with your hotel or property management to make this happen.

How much does Black Diamond Grocery Delivery cost?

A 20% service fee (calculated on items purchased) added to your order total & a $35 shopping/delivery fee per $1000 of items purchased. Simple.

 

Do you accept same day orders?

We do accept last-minute, day-of orders, although between 01/24/19-02/10/19 a $40 expedite fee will be added to your final total. Please e-mail us at orders@blackdiamondgrocery.com or give us a call/text at 435-604-5220 as soon as possible to see if we are able to fit you in.

When can I place my order?

Our website is available to place an order from 24 hours a day, thanks to the wonders of the internet. Telephone calls are accepted from 8am-10pm MST each day.

Can I change my order after it has been placed?

Of course. If you need to change an order, please contact us via e-mail at orders@blackdiamondgrocery.com  or call/text us at 435-604-5220 with the items you would like to add or delete. As long as the order hasn’t been shopped yet, we can make it happen.

 

How do I cancel an order?

We understand plans can change and are happy to accommodate shifting dynamics. To cancel an order, please immediately e-mail us at orders@blackdiamondgrocery.com or call us at 435-604-5220 stating your full name and date of arrival, along with the bad news.

  • An unshopped order will be fully refunded any deposit paid. End of story.

  • A shopped order will likely be charged a $70 cancellation fee. Most orders are shopped day-of-arrival, EXCEPT wine, liquor, and full-strength beer to be delivered on a Sunday or national/Utah holiday. The cost of any groceries unable to be returned will be charged to the customer. PLEASE REMEMBER: Items already purchased from the liquor stores can not be returned.

What if an item is out-of-stock at the store?

We make every effort to get all of the items on your list. There are times when some items are unavailable. We will then try to substitute that item with a comparable product. Most of the time, you will be happy.

What if I need more items during my stay?

First, we will waive the $20 expedite fee. Then, we will deliver the additional items to you. Just complete an order form from our website, email orders@blackdiamondgrocery.com, or give us a call at 435-604-5220. Just as simple as the original order.

What if I am missing an item?

Please contact us immediately if you see an item is missing from your order. We will locate the item and get it over to you as soon as possible. We double check all orders during the shopping and packing stage before delivery. We are almost perfect in this regard.  

What is your policy regarding the purchase of alcohol?

Black Diamond Grocery Delivery is acting as a delivery service. To purchase alcohol in the State of Utah, you must be 21 years old. To purchase tobacco in the State of Utah, you must be 18 years old. You must show proof of age with a valid ID upon request. If you will be present at delivery, you can show it to our driver. If we are stocking your accommodations prior to your arrival, then you can send us a copy of your ID.

Are there any days that alcohol cannot be purchased?

Yes, Sundays and holidays. Almost (see below) all full strength beer, liquor, and wine is sold in Utah liquor stores, which are closed on Sundays and holidays. If we receive your order in a timely manner, we can purchase full strength beer, liquor & wine the day before. Remember though, orders already purchased from the liquor stores cannot be cancelled, so plan carefully please. 

Of course, 3.2% session beer is sold in grocery stores and can be purchased 7 days a week.

What forms of payment do you accept? When is my credit card charged?

We accept payment by debit and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) only. Your card will be charged after delivery of your groceries. We also accept cold, hard cash (sorry, no personal checks.)

What days and times do you deliver?

We make every effort to complete our deliveries before you arrive to your accommodations. If we cannot gain entry into your place of lodging through the property management company, we will contact you to set up a delivery time. If we are running late, we will let you know.

Do you sell or trade my personal information?

Your personal information is safe with us. It is not given, sold, or traded to anyone else.

Are my orders secure?

Your personal security is our main concern. We use Square, a leading industry payment processor, to ensure that all payment information is transmitted through protected channels.

Do you have a minimum order amount?

No. If you really want that $45 pint of ice cream, we will be there for you…
